Personal Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and professional individual to join the Patient Services Team in a key role as Personal Assistant (Band 4) providing support to the Corporate Nursing Team.
Main duties of the job
As PA you will be an integral part of the team that is key to the successful delivery of the Patient Services agenda. Providing a professional, confidential and comprehensive secretarial and administration service to the Patient Experience Corporate Nursing Team members, you will manage the diary, arrange, coordinate and minute various meetings. This is a rewarding and varied job with significant responsibility, and an excellent opportunity to develop your skills. You will enjoy working with a friendly, dedicated team that shares your passion for delivering an extremely high standard of work with the focus on improving the standard of care we provide. We’re looking for a self‑motivated, energetic and competent PA with excellent PC and comprehensive secretarial skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Comfortable at a senior level within the NHS, you can work under pressure and prioritise your work to meet deadlines. Your conscientiousness, self‑motivation and ability to engage and motivate others makes you familiar with data protection issues and patient confidentiality. This demanding role will require an adaptable and flexible individual with a proven ability to prioritise their own workload and the demands of senior colleagues. You should have an eye for detail and use utmost discretion when dealing with confidential matters.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
* Good standard of education (A‑C GCSE minimum)
* NVQ/diploma in administration or business, level 4 or equivalent experience
* RSA level 3 or above or equivalent skills
Experience
* Experience working as a PA
* Experience within a health or public sector environment
* Experience working in an office environment
* Experience as a PA to a senior role within an Acute NHS Trust
Skills
* Minute taking
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (spelling, grammar, punctuation)
* Advanced use of software programmes (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Ability to establish systems to manage a heavy workload in a fast‑paced environment
* Problem solving
* Event management
