What Success Looks Like Create and implement the trading strategy from the ground up by defining trading rhythms, building performance tools and embedding ways of working that drive results Ensure clear visibility of trading performance and work with pace to respond to opportunities and risks as they arise Take ownership of daily weekly and seasonal sales and margin performance by influencing trading outcomes through data-led decision-making Optimise the effectiveness of key events and in-season activity to support commercial growth Stay close to customer behaviour, competitor activity and market trends and translate insight into clear actionable trading plans Work closely with Ecommerce Marketing Buying and Supply Chain to connect the numbers to action and keep trading front of mind across the business Key Responsibilities Lead daily, weekly, and seasonal trading routines, ensuring performance is tracked and actioned Build tools and processes that enable fast, clear decision-making and drive accountability across teams Monitor sales performance to quickly spot risks and opportunities Support category and range planning with Buying to maximise product performance Shape promotions and trading tactics to keep seasonal performance on track Use customer, market, and competitor insight to guide trading plans and priorities Align cross-functional teams around trading goals and act as the key commercial voice across the business Take a hands-on approach - shaping the function, building tools, and leading by example to drive results What We’re Looking For Strong commercial acumen with experience in trading, commercial planning, ecommerce, or category management Highly analytical, with a proven ability to interpret performance data and translate it into clear actions Comfortable building or evolving trading and commercial processes in fast-paced, high-growth environments Proficient in Excel, with experience using reporting or analytics tools to support decision-making.
