What you will do
Our vibrant services in Wigan and Leigh provide support to people concerned about their own or someone else\'s alcohol or drug use. We have services in both Wigan and Leigh but much of our work is carried out in the local communities we serve. The service is an integrated drug and alcohol service, delivering an asset based community approach to treatment. We specialise in harm reduction and needle syringe provision, psycho social interventions, opioid substitution treatment, referral to detox and community interventions. Check out what our Wigan and Leigh sites have to offer here! As a Non Medical Prescriber, you will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help With You to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients. These include:
* harm reduction
* providing support and advice in relation to substance misuse clinics; where we assess and review prescribed treatment plans
* advise on detoxification
* vaccination and blood testing programmes
It\'s not just about those people who actively engage with our service though - you will also be reaching out to those in our communities to offer proactive support and education.
