Company Description
We’re Electric Places, and as a Community Interest Company we’re all about bringing people, places and power together to help communities take charge of their own clean energy future
Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who can keep our latest community energy project humming nicely. It’s a partnership between Electric Places, a range of technology partners, and community energy groups — working out how local people can manage energy in smarter, fairer ways.
You’ll be the steady hand on the tiller: making sure everyone knows what’s next, what’s done, and what’s at risk. Think action plans, RAID logs, reports and keeping partners on the same page — without drowning anyone in spreadsheets.
What you’ll be doing
* Keeping our project plan, RAID and action tracker up to date.
* Chasing progress (nicely) and pulling together tidy weekly/monthly summaries.
* Prepping meetings so decisions get made and actions stick.
* Spotting risks and helping the team stay a step ahead.
* Supporting our small but mighty Programme Lead and partners to stay aligned.
* Making sure everything looks sharp, clear and ready to share.
What you’ll bring
* Solid experience managing multi-partner innovation or sustainability projects.
* Calm, organised and good with words (and people).
* You know your way around RAID logs and progress reports.
* You’re comfortable flying solo for a day a week and making it count.
* Bonus points if you’ve wrangled Innovate UK, Horizon Europe, or DNO-related projects before.
The practical bits
* 1 day per week (about 8 hours) – could be split across 2 days
* Remote, with the occasional in-person catch-up (travel reimbursed)
* Consultant role, outside IR35
* £350 per day
