The business operates a mix of early stage development projects and live industrial facilities, requiring a procurement function that can balance strategic planning with real time operational support. With major growth planned over the next 24 months, they are strengthening their commercial and supply chain capability with a Procurement Manager who can own procurement end to end.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of project delivery and plant operations. You’ll lead both direct and indirect procurement, shape long term supplier frameworks and support the needs of a complex operational site. It’s a highly influential position in an environment where early decisions directly shape cost, risk and schedule outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute procurement strategies across construction, infrastructure packages and plant operations
• Lead tendering, negotiation and contract award processes for direct and indirect categories
• Establish framework agreements to support future construction activities and repeatable project delivery
• Manage ad hoc operational procurement for a live industrial site, ensuring materials, equipment and services arrive on time
• Work closely with engineering, operations, finance and project teams to forecast needs and mitigate supply risk
• Own supplier evaluation, onboarding, performance management and compliance
• Support capex and opex planning across multiple sites at different stages of development
• Drive cost optimisation, commercial governance and continuous improvement across the supply chain function
Requirements
• Strong background in procurement within infrastructure, energy, renewables, industrial or manufacturing environments
• Experience across both direct and indirect procurement, ideally including construction packages
• Understanding of early stage project procurement, framework agreements and long lead item strategies
• Comfortable switching between strategic procurement planning and hands on operational support
• Strong negotiation, commercial and contract management skills
• Ability to operate in a fast paced, growing, technically complex environment
• Excellent stakeholder management across engineering, operations, and leadership teams
