Description Are you a skilled relationship builder with a passion for shaping impactful engagement strategies? Social Security Scotland is looking for a dedicated Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Team Leader to strengthen our connections with stakeholders and partners. Your expertise will help us build trusted relationships with ministers, government officials, and external partners, enhancing our reputation and supporting improved operational outcomes. We are seeking an experienced individual who will ensure the team develops and delivers a quarterly engagement plan aligned to corporate priorities and expectations, and ensure feedback and insight is captured, tracked and actioned as appropriate. You will lead the team and work with the Head of Briefing and Engagement and a range of senior colleagues and stakeholders inside and outside the organisation to manage and co-ordinate our strategic engagement to strengthen our reputation and relationships and assist the delivery of improved operational activity. Please note that this is a part time opportunity for four days per week on a job share basis. Responsibilities Responsibilities Lead the Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Team, with direct line management of four B3 team members, ensuring the delivery of agreed products and outcomes. Coordinate and align activities with fellow C1 colleague (job share) within the Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Team. Ensure the quality and effectiveness of briefing and advice provided to senior officials and Ministers, incorporating appropriate insights and evidence. Act as the principal adviser to the Executive Team on strategic stakeholder engagement, maintaining their trust and confidence. Develop and deliver a dynamic quarterly stakeholder engagement plan, informed by insight and evidence, in collaboration with the organisation and approved by the Executive Team. Facilitate effective and efficient stakeholder participation and engagement with key partners, ensuring insights are captured, tracked, and integrated into organisational records and tools. Collaborate with other government departments and agencies to advance policy outcomes. Implement appropriate governance and risk management practices to provide assurance and confidence in team activities. Oversee the embedding and application of the stakeholder management tool, liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance. Manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders, maintaining their trust and confidence. Working Pattern Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options, depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location, which will be either Glasgow or Dundee.
