Overview
In this role, you will have the opportunity to personally make a difference to our patients' lives and the lives of their carers and relatives every day. Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of our multidisciplinary teams who support patients by assisting our registered nurses in planning, delivering and evaluating care. This role is varied and busy with shifts that include long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. We are seeking positive, caring individuals with a can‑do attitude.
You must be a minimum of 18 years old to apply and be willing to work a minimum of 23 hours per week. You must commit to the standard shift pattern for this role which includes long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. This vacancy does not include Paediatrics or Maternity ward vacancies. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.

The Healthcare Support Worker role includes a variety of duties and requires flexibility in working patterns, including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications and experience
* Essential: Training & Qualifications – Completed Care Certificate or ability to complete within 6 months of appointment; knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study and/or employment experience.
* Desirable: Level 2 and/or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care/Clinical Care or working towards; Confirmation of secondary education (GCSE grades 1-3 or D-G or Functional Skills at Level 1 or equivalent); GCSE Standard Pass Grades (4 and above or A-C).
* Essential: Experience & Knowledge – Experience in a public-facing/customer care role or environment.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a Health/Health and Social Care role; understanding of NHS/Social care systems.
* Essential: Skills & Ability – Good written and verbal communication in the English language.
