This Orthogeriatric Clinical Fellow post at Ysbyty Gwynedd offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in the management of older trauma and orthopaedic patients within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job
See full job description and personal specification duties. These posts are not part of a national core training scheme but will offer similar training opportunities to clinical fellows at CT level. A comprehensive teaching programme will provide access to protected consultant‑led teaching opportunities.
We are an exciting diverse department, with ample exposure to trauma and elective activity, which becomes increasingly busy during peak holiday periods. The post holders will be encouraged to undertake research as well as audit projects, with access to a generous study budget, supported by the Orthopaedic clinical team.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Skills
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
* MBBS
* MRCS (or equivalent)
Clinical Experience
* Relevant and recent experience at clinical fellow trainee level and above
* Completion of Foundation Year 2 training (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience post qualification when starting the job
* ATLS provider
* 12 months NHS experience (not including clinical attachments)
* One year Medical and or Surgical Specialties experience
* Experience in T&O or Orthogeriatrics
Personal Attributes
* Enthusiasm & ability to work under pressure
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Communication Skills
* Good written & oral communication skills
* Welsh speaker
