Job Overview

Reed’s School is a fantastic place to work. Teachers and pupils alike flourish in its friendly, supportive, forward-thinking community. It is one of the leading Independent Day and Boarding Schools in the country and is proud to be providing an education for around 840 pupils, including a significant number who are funded by our charitable foundation. The school is all-boys from 11-16 and has a co-educational Sixth Form.

We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant who will be responsible for Reed’s School and Ripley Court School purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices and employee expense claims. They will also carry out some bookkeeping duties for Reed’s School and its subsidiary (Reed’s School Enterprises Ltd), such as petty cash reconciliation, banking and cashbook postings, accruals and prepayments if required.

This role is full- time, Monday – Friday, term time plus 8-10 weeks. However, there may be flexibility around working hours for the ideal candidate.

The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
