Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Contract: Temporary (2–3 months initially, with potential to be extended)
Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Rainham (RM13) for an experienced Administration Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced import freight office.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an administrative role and enjoys working within logistics or freight operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling incoming emails and telephone enquiries
* Performing accurate data entry and maintaining records
* Supporting the operations team with general administrative tasks
* Managing documentation relating to import freight
* Using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, to update and track data
* Maintaining organised filing systems and ensuring records are up to date
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in an administrative role (ideally within logistics or freight, but not essential)
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Excel
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy office environment
* Confident handling emails and telephone queries
