About the Business Unit
The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. We provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction, operations, decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
Overview of the Role
The Energy Transition team within our Energy unit is looking for Project Managers to run our major multidisciplinary FEED and Detailed Design projects in a growing portfolio, supporting clients in the UK and across Europe as part of the energy transition. This position also plays an active role in improving our project management processes and approach, driving delivery excellence and efficiency across the business.
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the delivery of multi‑disciplinary design projects including civils, process, electrical, mechanical protection & control and other secondary design disciplines.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Deliver Project Management for complex Energy projects such as OCGT and CCGT projects at feasibility, FEED and detailed design phases
* Deliver project scope to time, quality and cost commitments
* Build and manage strong relationships with senior client representatives and internal stakeholders
* Establish effective communications across the entire project delivery team
* Lead problem solving and decision making
* Control internal and external commercial aspects of the project under the contract arrangements
* Manage risk to the business and to the client
* Work effectively on several projects concurrently to meet tight deadlines
Candidate Specification – Essential
* Relevant engineering or management degree or successful experience in project management of energy sector projects
* Proven delivery of multidisciplinary design projects
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
* Collaborative skills – the role requires working with cross‑functional teams across different countries and cultures
Candidate Specification – Desirable
* Experience within the Energy sector
* Experience across all stages of the project lifecycle
* Relevant PM qualifications (e.g., PMQ, PMP, Prince2)
