Job Role: Salvage Operative Location: Harlow Salary / Rate: £12.30 per hour, temp to perm We are recruiting for the role of: Salvage Operative (also suitable for Device Technician, Electronics Operative, Phone Repair Technician, Diagnostic Technician) About the Role We are looking for a practical and detail-focused Salvage Operative to join a busy technical operations team in Harlow. This position would suit someone with experience in phone repair, electronics testing, device refurbishment or similar hands-on work such as Assembly Operative or Repair Technician roles. You will support the wider refurbishment and data cleanse teams by testing, diagnosing, and processing devices that need more in-depth troubleshooting. What You’ll Do • Carry out accurate fault-finding on a range of devices • Complete device disassembly and reassembly • Test repaired or newly purchased devices to confirm functionality • Repair and refurbish Samsung devices when required • Conduct data cleansing on faulty devices using advanced tools and processes • Support colleagues to ensure devices move smoothly through the workflow What We’re Looking For • Strong problem-solving skills • Previous repair or refurbishment experience preferred • Good technical understanding of mobile devices or electronics • Careful, methodical approach to inspecting and testing devices Nice to Have • Experience as a Device Repair Technician, Mobile Phone Technician, Electronics Operative, Refurbishment Technician, Assembly Technician or similar • Knowledge of Samsung repairs or mobile diagnostics • Understanding of data wiping processes Who Might Suit This Role This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, has an interest in gadgets or electronics, and likes methodical problem-solving.
