The Head of Financial Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and team management within the Finance department. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and reports.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Lead and manage the financial accounting team to deliver timely and accurate outputs.
* Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate financial data.
* Provide financial insights and recommandations to senior management.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
Qualifications
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
* Proven leadership abilities to manage and motivate a finance team effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
* Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
