Denstone Hall Farm Shop & Café
As a Production Cook / Baker at Denstone Hall, you're part of the skilled kitchen team behind our award-winning deli and savoury food range. You'll focus on batch production of high-quality items, sausage rolls, quiches, scotch eggs, and pies, using fresh local ingredients and beef from our own family farm.
You'll also play a creative role, helping us develop new ideas that reflect the season, support our field-to-fork ethos, and delight our customers. Flexibility is key, as the role also provides cover on the bakery team and deli counter when needed.
What You'll Lead and Support
Production Cooking & Baking
* Batch produce savoury deli products to a consistent, high standard
* Prepare ingredients and follow production plans with care
* Bake off items such as pies, sausage rolls, and quiches
* Present and portion food attractively for sale in the shop
Food Quality & Creativity
* Use beef from our own farm and locally sourced ingredients
* Help develop new product ideas for the season, events, or café
* Contribute to tastings, quality checks, and product launches
* Maintain our 'Made by Denstone' standards across all products
Kitchen & Food Safety
* Follow all health and hygiene procedures (including allergens and labelling)
* Maintain a clean, organised workspace
* Support accurate storage, dating, and stock rotation
* Contribute to keeping a 5-star food hygiene rating
Flexibility & Teamwork
* Provide support to the baking team during holidays and busy periods
* Cover the deli counter when required, maintaining great customer service
* Work closely with the wider kitchen team and café staff
* Support a calm, respectful team culture
* Ideally working one day at the weekend
