Up to £80,000 DOE and relocation allowance up to £5,000
For over 70 years, Lynton Vets has been at the heart of the Woking community, proudly caring for generations of pets and the families who love them. We’re now looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated and welcoming team, where building strong relationships with clients and providing exceptional patient care always come first.
Our purpose‑built hospital‑standard practice in Woking is thoughtfully designed to give both pets and their owners the very best experience.
* Separate cat and dog waiting areas and consult rooms, including a designated cat consultation room
* Large, private bereavement suite
* Spacious prep areas
* Two theatres
* Dedicated imaging and lab spaces
* Comfortable wards
* Ultrasound including VVS scans
* Digital and dental X‑ray, multiparameters, and the option to refer when needed
You’ll also find plenty of space for yourself, with a dedicated office for admin work and a large staff room with its own kitchen.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
Variety in Your Day
No two days are the same here. Our vets enjoy a healthy balance of consulting and surgery, with procedures ranging from routine neutering and lump removals to soft tissue surgery. Prefer a consult‑only or surgery‑focused role? We’re flexible and happy to shape your workload around your strengths and passions.
Working Hours
* Full‑time position: Four days across 40 hours
* No out‑of‑hours commitment
* 1:4 Saturday rota 8:30 am – 4:00 pm with time back in lieu
We’re also open to part‑time hours for the right candidate because we know balance matters. While our main site is in Woking, occasional travel to our Addlestone and Bagshot branches will be part of the role.
You Might Be a Great Fit If…
* A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
* A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
* Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
How We’ll Support You
* Clear career pathways with progression opportunities across primary care, referral, leadership, and specialist roles
* Funded learning and development, including CPD allowance and access to IVC academy training centres & role‑relevant courses
* £1,250 annual Care Fund for every vet
* Access to mentors, regional clinical coaches, and peer networks
* Support to develop clinical interests and expand your capabilities
* A collaborative, values‑led culture focused on care, community, and continuous improvement
