Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile Assistant to support our team across various tasks. This role involves the efficient packing of items according to safety standards and preparing orders for dispatch to customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Packing & Quality Control: Efficiently pack items into boxes, ensuring proper labeling and sealing. Verify product quality to minimize errors. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 8-10kg, and perform repetitive tasks. Attention to Detail: Demonstrated high accuracy in checking item numbers and quantities. Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center is preferred. Time Management: Capability to meet daily productivity targets and deadlines. Assist with merchandising activities to ensure products are well-presented and stocked Support team members in daily operational tasks to maintain smooth workflow Engage with customers politely using phone etiquette, offering assistance and upselling products or services where appropriate Manage organisational tasks including stock organisation and maintaining cleanliness of work areas Communicate effectively with team members and customers, ensuring clear understanding Demonstrate strong time management to prioritise tasks efficiently throughout shifts Support the team with additional duties as required to meet organisational goals Experience Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or customer service roles is advantageous but not essential Strong communication skills with the ability to engage courteously with diverse customers Organisational skills with attention to detail for stock management and record keeping Basic math proficiency for handling transactions and inventory counts Good time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks Experience in upselling techniques is a plus but can be developed through training This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their organisational and customer service skills within a supportive team environment. Wage: Starting at GBP13.00 per hour. Hours: Typically 10 AM to 1 PM during the week. Availability during peak months (July, August, December) is highly preferred. Payment Frequency: Monthly. Payment Date: Approximately the 10th of the following month (e.g., May's salary paid around June 10th). Salary increases are primarily driven by high performance, accuracy, and demonstrated passion. A permanent position will be considered in the future.
