An opportunity has arisen at the Barnard Medical Group for a workflow co-ordinator.
Candidates must have prior experience of working within General Practice and be performing/performed a similar role. The post holder should possess an expert working knowledge of EMIS Web, Docman and Accurx.
The successful post holder will possess excellent communications skills, be enthusiatic and committed to delivery the highest standard of patient care and be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
We are a dynamic, ever evolving practice with 3 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 6 Practice Nurses, in-house Pharmacists, a Mental Health Practitioner, First Contact Physiotherapist, Dietician in addition to a large reception and administrative team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To triage and code all of the clinical documents coming into the practice.
To read through each document, adding the correct clinical code(s) to the patients record.
To determin whether or not a clinical document should be forwarded to a GP or clinical pharmacist for actioning or filed into the patients records.
To identify opportunities for improving service delivery and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
To act as a point of contact for practice staff on queries related to incoming clinical documents.
To ensure that regular reporting on operational performance is disseminated amongst the multi-disciplinary team.
