Logistics Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Logistics & Services Section.
What will you do?
* Lead the 4–6 week forecasting and planning process, consolidating inputs from contractors and aligning with project requirements.
* Manage delivery slots through the Delivery Management System (DMS), ensuring compliance with vehicle caps, permits, and escort requirements.
* Oversee real time operations, including site access, routing compliance, abnormal load movements, and safety protocols.
* Produce and maintain logistics trackers (AIL lists, materials, forecasts) and provide weekly reporting dashboards.
* Act as the single point of coordination between contractors, police, highways authorities, NetworkRail, and internal project teams.
* Enforce contractor compliance with logistics procedures, escalating issues where necessary.
* Identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints early and propose practical solutions.
* Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned, introducing digital tools, and training logistics staff and contractors.
What are we looking for?
Knowledge & Skills
* Proven experience managing logistics on major infrastructure, construction, or industrial projects
* Strong understanding of delivery management systems, abnormal load processes, and site logistics
* Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, able to engage contractors and authorities
* Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with ability to make decisions under pressure
* Familiarity with reporting, forecasting, and compliance monitoring
* Clear communicator and natural organiser
* Assertive but collaborative approach to contractor management
* Strategic thinker with an eye for detail
* Calm under pressure and solutions‑oriented
