A Personal Assistant is required for a 6-year-old boy in the HU4 area of Hull. The ideal PA will be patient, kind and caring. This young boy enjoys going to soft plays, swimming, parks, and imagination play centres.
Responsibilities
* Help the boy access areas of interest, providing 1‑to‑1 supervision.
* Manage challenging behaviour when upset.
* Care for the boy’s continuous pump feeding and personal hygiene, including nappies.
* Assist with medication administration while out.
* Drive the family’s Motability vehicle to take the boy out, ensuring he is safely wheeled and transported.
* Work with hours of 4 hours term‑time Saturday or Sunday, and 8 hours during holidays, with flexible days and times.
* Receive training as needed for complex medical needs.
Qualifications
* Experience with autism and pump feeding is preferred.
* Valid driving licence and experience driving a car with a wheelchair user.
* Knowledge of complex medical care for a non‑verbal child.
Working Hours & Benefits
* Hours: 4 hours term time Saturday or Sunday; 8 hours during holidays.
* Appointment includes mileage costs covered by the employer.
