Emergency Department Administrative Coordinator
Location: Wexham Park Hospital
Contract: Full Time (including occasional evenings, weekends, and night shifts as required)
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to take on the role of Administrative Coordinator within our Urgent and Emergency Care Department at Wexham Park Hospital. This newly established position offers a unique opportunity to shape and develop the role in collaboration with the Directorate Service Manager. As the lead for the administrative team in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the department and ensuring high standards of service delivery.

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of Band 2 and Band 3 administrative staff, overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
* Support and motivate your team to consistently provide excellent customer care throughout a 24/7, 365‑day service.
* Contribute to the planning and coordination of critical incidents, helping to develop and restructure administrative services as needed to meet evolving departmental demands.
* Take responsibility for workforce planning and recruitment, ensuring that staffing levels are appropriate and that new hires are effectively onboarded.
* Ensure that all team members complete mandatory training and appraisals on time, maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and maintain staff performance, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to promote a skilled and engaged workforce.
Qualifications
We are seeking a proactive individual with strong administrative and leadership experience, preferably within a health environment.
