Role Summary
As a Brand & Content Marketing Executive within the JD Outdoor Group, you will support the delivery of marketing plans for partner brands, create compelling content across JD Outdoor channels, and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to execute campaigns that strengthen brand engagement and support sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of the marketing plans for clothing and footwear partner brands.
* Plan and create engaging, relevant and commercially minded content to be used across JD Outdoor channels.
* Assist in the development of the JD Outdoor content strategy.
* Work with the Brand & Content Marketing Manager to deliver partner brand marketing plans.
* Contribute to fascia content calendars that align with campaign planning, seasonal campaigns and product launches.
* Collaborate with the in‑house videographer and social team to produce video content supporting the content strategy and partner brand marketing plans.
* Plan and attend shoots to create video content across all JD Outdoor channels.
* Brief brand pages, e‑mails and website banners to the design team for clothing and footwear partner brands.
* Produce SEO‑rich blog content and expert advice guides.
* Monitor content performance, report insights and identify opportunities to improve the JD Outdoor content strategy and plans.
* Work closely with commercial/own brand teams to develop and execute content and marketing activity for own brand ranges, ensuring messages are delivered across all relevant channels.
* Communicate campaign results and achievements, ensuring KPIs for content views and engagement are met and campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
* Collaborate with the Brand & Content Marketing Manager, content team, marketing team members, merchandisers and buyers, online team, production companies, external brands/agencies, and retail operations/store teams.
Key Qualifications
* An excellent writer, able to write creative and persuasive copy with a defined tone of voice quickly and accurately.
* Experience with blog building tools such as WordPress, with basic HTML skills.
* Video production skills – planning, scripting, administration, budgeting, etc.
* Experience selling product through marketing and/or retail sales.
* Knowledge and understanding of what makes a good customer experience.
* Experience in social media and broader marketing.
* Experience developing and managing content calendars.
* Ability to work collaboratively on projects with multiple stakeholders from across the business.
* Ability to draw insights from analytic data.
* Familiarity with Google Analytics (advantageous).
* A passion for the outdoors and outdoors products (advantageous).
* Video production skills (advantageous).
* Marketing or other relevant subject degree (advantageous).
