Job Description
Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council’s key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a PVG Scheme member for regulated work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are continuously updated, and any relevant information will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Darvel Primary School. The role is 8 hours per week, working on Mondays and Fridays from 10 am to 2 pm. The hourly rate is £12.96. The contract is until 31st December 2025.
