Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.

Position:

Great opportunity to join our Inventory & Analytics Team as a Stock Controller. This role focuses on accuracy of stock information in the system and is crucial to support the work of the Stock Control Manager. The role requires a high level of system knowledge and good time management skills to ensure deadlines are hit. This role requires a level of autonomy to work at a consistent level with good attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities of the Stock Controller (including but not limited to):


* Working with the Stock Control Manager, to manage the physical stocks in the business, by proactively identifying issues and opportunities to improve the overall stock availability
* Manage the Seasonal allocations (reservations) process to ensure stock is aligned against all forward orders prior to delivery of goods to the distribution centers and ensure reservations are regularly reviewed to ensure any changes or amendments are captured and re-reserved. Ensure this process is in line with the seasonal buying calendar and timelines are agreed with Buying for each season.
* Oversee the management of the SMS order process, ensuring engagement with all stakeholders. Ensuring the timely delivery to all customers from factory and Distribution Centres.
* Manages the completion of sleeping reservations and FTS information, ensuring FTS in all locations, issuing a weekly dashboard on availability current and future.
* Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to continually manage changes in the orderbook and demand and make corrective actions where necessary.
* Responsible for the monthly transfer programme. Proactively manage the physical stocks, based on both sales history and seasonal forecasts and ensure stock is always balanced correctly between UK and third-party distribution centres to allow the sales team to maximise the free to sell stock opportunities.
* Responsible for ensuring stock of bestselling lines are always available at the right locations in the right depth, based on forward forecasted sales.
* Work closely with Buying to fulfil direct orders from factories to customers in full where possible.
* Work with the Export team to ensure seasonal SMS is shipped and invoiced on time and to the correct locations.
* Manage and develop the Stock Control Administrator by providing clear instructions, having regular 121 communication, identifying personal development needs/training requirements and where appropriate managing any issues that may arise.
* Support the Stock Control Manager with the development and issuing of stock and availability reports across the business.
* Provide cover in the absence of the Stock Control Manager.

Requirements:

To join us you must have:

Essential

* Proven previous experience in a similar analytical administration position.
* Strong background in data analysis and forecasting methods.
* Solid understanding of supply chain processes.
* High level of IT competency with MS Office suite, including Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUp).
* Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of the business.
* Approachability and receptiveness to feedback, fostering positive working relationships.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as use own initiative.
* Passion for challenging existing processes and driving continuous improvement.
* Effective organizational skills, structured and methodical with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience in managing and motivating team members, providing clear guidance.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality support to internal teams.

Desirable

* Experience of using Dynamics NAV (Navision) /Business Central
