What you’ll be responsible for

Responsibilities:
* Undertake planned maintenance activities on assets including treatment works, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
* Investigate instrumentation failures and carry out repairs promptly to ensure compliance and service continuity.
* Identify and prevent instrumentation and electrical failures proactively.
* Install, refurbish, and assist in commissioning equipment according to specifications.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings for electrical equipment and instrumentation.
* Maintain knowledge of treatment processes and asset variations for effective troubleshooting.
* Inspect, repair, install, and test instrumentation and electrical equipment to meet legislative requirements.
* Assess spares and materials needs, and order as necessary.
* Maintain IMS procedures to ISO standards and keep records for audits.
* Use mobile devices to record work details and time.
* Collaborate with the Alliance Partnership for large capital schemes.
Who you’ll work with
Internal: Production and Network Teams, Internal audit, Scientific team, asset strategy/capital delivery teams, operational control centre.
External: Regulators, Contractors, Suppliers.
About You
Qualifications: Apprenticeship in Instrumentation/electrical or dual-skilled engineering to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Full UK Driving license.
Skills: Ability to work alone and in teams, IT literacy (Microsoft Office), adherence to H&S procedures.
Additional info: Willingness to participate in standby rota, overtime, and possess a full UK driving license. Company vehicle provided.
