Job Description
3. Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently
4. Manage employee expense claims and ensure timely reimbursement
5. Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs, including supplier payments
6. Perform bank and account reconciliations
7. Support month-end reporting and journal entries
8. Maintain and update financial records and spreadsheets
9. Handle finance-related queries from internal teams and external suppliers
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
11. Provide general administrative support to the finance team
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
12. Previous experience working in remote roles
13. Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role
14. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
15. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
16. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliations
17. Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines remotely
18. Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers
19. Reliable, organised, and proactive in resolving queries and supporting the finance team
