Personal Assistant to Support Young Adult with Autism (Leeds LS9)
Friendly family in Leeds LS9 looking for a kind and reliable Personal Assistant to support a 19‑year‑old young man with autism. 8 hours per week (Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri afternoons) at £12.21 per hour. Support Reece to enjoy his hobbies, build confidence and access the community – training provided.
Responsibilities
* Support Reece with social and community activities (e.g., walks, shops, food trips, local events)
* Encourage communication and confidence while out and about
* Provide calm reassurance and positive interaction
* Ensure Reece’s safety and wellbeing at all times
* Promote independence while offering gentle support
Hours & Pay
* 8 hours per week
* Afternoons: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (exact times flexible)
* £12.21 per hour
* Paid training provided by the local council
Qualifications & Characteristics
* Kind, patient, and reliable
* Experience or understanding of autism preferred
* Calm communicator who encourages confidence
* Respectful of privacy and confidentiality
* Must hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check
