1st Line Support Engineer

💰 Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused 1st Line Support Engineer to join a growing IT team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and problem-solving to become the first point of contact for technical support across a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
Escalate complex problems to 2nd/3rd line support teams
Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions
Assist with user account management (Active Directory, Office 365)
Support the setup and configuration of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
Deliver excellent customer service and ensure timely resolution of issuesRequirements
Previous experience in a 1st line support or helpdesk role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of Windows OS, Office 365, and networking fundamentals
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
A genuine interest in IT and eagerness to learnDesirable Skills
IT-related qualifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications)
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk, Zendesk, ServiceNow)
