Overview
Daily activity will include consultant led ward rounds and management of patients and supervision of the junior team. The post holder will be supported by FY2 and IMT Trainees and will have direct consultant level support. The post holder will have responsibility for ward inpatients and, as such, will be expected to attend board rounds, ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings. He/she will help supervise the ward juniors, help manage the inpatients and help coordinate their discharge planning. The post holder will participate in audit and governance activities of the ward and help deliver teaching and training to junior colleagues, medical students and physician associates. The post holder will also support the management of patients in virtual ward and other associated duties where applicable.
