Role: Head of Procurement
Location: Saffron Walden, moving to Braintree Sept 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00AM TO 16:30PM, 40 hours a week
Salary: £24.00 an hour, weekly pay (£50,000 per annum)
Must be a driver, due to location change
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Head of Procurement to join a fast growing client based in Saffron Walden.
Duties of a Head of Procurement:
1. Develop and enforce purchasing policies and procedures
2. Source, select, and manage suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
3. Negotiate and manage contracts to meet budget and delivery targets
4. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
5. Maintain approved vendor database and strong supplier relationships
6. Oversee purchase orders, inventory levels, and procurement reporting
7. Manage team operations, budgets, and compliance with company standards
8. Ensure accuracy in admin, systems, and health & safety adherence
What we would like from you:
9. Proven experience in a similar Aviation MRO role
10. CIPS Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Supply Chain and Procurement
11. Confident with Word, Excel, and open to learning Aerotrac
12. Strong communicator, negotiator, and customer-focused
13. Team player with a “can-do” attitude and eye for detail
14. Self-motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn
