You will actively engage with institutional, corporate, and hedge fund clients to provide market insight, execute sales strategies, and promote commodity products, including energy & metals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their commodity risk profiles and business needs.
* Provide clients with timely market insights, pricing, and risk management advice to support their trading and hedging activities.
* Collaborate closely with trading and structuring teams to identify and execute profitable sales opportunities.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and market updates to clients.
* Negotiate and close commodity transactions in line with client requirements and internal risk guidelines.
* Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
* Represent the bank at industry events, client meetings, and product forums to enhance market presence.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Front office commodities sales experience at an investment bank, commodity trading house, or financial institution.
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of commodity markets (energy, metals, agriculture) and derivative instruments.
* Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships and close sales deals.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* High level of numeracy, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
* Proficient with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and CRM platforms.
* Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
