Key Responsibilities:
* Expertly prepare and cook a range of wholesome, appealing meals for pupils aged 3-14, strictly adhering to all dietary requirements and stringent health and safety standards.
* Ensure the kitchen consistently operates with the highest levels of cleanliness and food hygiene.
* Proactively manage ingredient stock, effectively minimising waste, and assisting with accurate ordering processes.
* Work seamlessly alongside colleagues to create a positive and inviting dining atmosphere for all students.
What We're Looking For:
* A minimum Level 3 in Food and Hygiene qualification is essential; we will consider candidates who are actively progressing towards this certification.
* Prior relevant experience as a Cook within a school or similar institutional catering setting is highly desirable.
* A demonstrated passion for producing nutritious, appetising meals specifically designed for children.
* Thorough knowledge and practical application of all current food safety legislation.
* The capability to take initiative and work effectively within a team structure, coupled with flexibility regarding the confirmed working days.
