Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Business Services Operational Support Team.
The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee support staff providing essential services across the council. This role demands strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on efficient and high-standard completion of administrative tasks.
Working closely with managers and service leads, the Administrative Assistant will help prioritize workloads, monitor performance, and adapt to the changing needs of departments. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role contributing to the smooth operation of key council services.
Knowledge
Education:
Essential: Minimum of two SCE Higher Grades or equivalent, plus evidence of literacy and numeracy skills, such as three Standard Grade passes including English and Mathematics.
Experience:
Essential: Experience in a Local Government setting, familiarity with computer-based financial management and reporting systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable: Experience supervising and training staff.

Salary: Starting at £28,440.19 per annum, based on 36 hours/week over 52 weeks, at the first point of the salary scale.
Responsibilities
