Taylor Woodrow is recruiting for a Head of Planning for to join our, based at our head offices in Watford. Reporting to the Operations Directors, the Head of Planning will be responsible for leading our project planning teams to ensure we are delivering a unified approach to planning activities across our business
Duties
• Develop and drive implementation of departmental strategy and procedures for planning and productivity.
• Management of a team of project Planning Managers
• Assist Taylor Woodrow projects in producing the right programmes, the right productivity records and the right reporting and interface with commercial functions.
• Oversee the building and development of Planning teams on projects, assisting with recruitment and team development.
• Lead the planning team in the execution of their responsibilities, in line with the company and divisional process and procedures.
• Support projects in setting up and running their planning and control systems and tools.
• Provide support for winning work teams by writing or reviewing relevant material produced for tenders, PQQ, etc.
• Writing and maintaining company procedures to meet the standards of good practice in the industry
• Keep abreast of latest thinking in the area of Planning and Productivity.
• Render personal support and assistance in particular projects/tenders with planning challenges or when required to optimise programmes and productivity.
• Centralise the gathering of the information from all Taylor Woodrow projects on a regular basis as per Company procedures.
Person Specification
• Previous experience as a Senior Planning Manager/Head of Planning, working for a construction company across a range of major infrastructure projects
• Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential
• Formal qualification in a civil engineering or construction related subject
• Chartered status is advantageous

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
