Overview of the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wastewater Network Modeller to join our team of innovative and motivated network modellers, engineers and project managers, delivering projects across the UK. As a Senior Modeller you will provide key technical inputs on a diverse range of wastewater infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to detailed design. You will mentor and develop others, contribute to internal innovation sprints, attend external conferences, drive the direction of our sub‑sector at a strategic level and support business development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver wastewater infrastructure projects of varying sizes.
* Collaborate closely with clients to ensure they understand model outputs and processes.
* Mentor and train graduate modellers, providing guidance to support their professional development.
* Specify and manage flow surveys.
* Lead model build and verification projects.
* Contribute to and review technical reports and presentations.
* Develop technical calculation outputs when needed.
* Opportunity to project manage infrastructure projects, including programme, commercial performance and technical excellence.
Candidate Specification
Essential
* Ability to be a team player and build relationships at all levels.
* Experience planning and delivering wastewater modelling projects of varying sizes.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and GIS packages.
* Chartered with a relevant professional institution (ICE or CIWEM).
* Excellent spreadsheet data analysis skills (e.g., MS Excel pivot tables or PowerBI).
* Programming skills in VBA or Python are advantageous.
Optional
* Project Management experience and skills (advantageous but not required).
