Lanark Close Short Breaks Service provides support for adults living in the Borough of Stockton-On-Tees with an identified Learning Disability.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Lanark Close as a Cook/Health and Nutritional Support Worker.
In this role, you will provide meals for people accessing the short breaks service.
You will support and enable people accessing the short breaks service to gain as much independence as possible in planning a healthy and varied menu, budgeting and cooking their own healthy and nutritious meals during their stay at Lanark Close. You will also be responsible for the ordering/shopping of supplies and food, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
This is a part time role of 32 hours per week, over a 3 week rota and the actual salary for the role is £25,548 - £26,830.
Please note weekly hours can vary due to shift patterns.
All you need to be a success is:
* NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation/Cooking or an equivalent catering qualification
* Relevant experience supporting people with additional needs
* Experience and knowledge of healthy eating and menu planning
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organisation skills
* The ability to work in a changing environment
* Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the service
* Motivated to enhance the service offered to our clients
* Enhanced DBS clearance
