Overview
Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) neonatal senior nursing team is seeking a Lead Nurse for Neonatal Home Care and Family Care. This role oversees clinical areas including neonatal Home Care, family support, bereavement support, Low Dependency and discharge. The department aims to promote safe, high-quality care across these areas and support outreach teams in planning care and promoting safe early discharge.

Responsibilities
* Provide responsive, compassionate, inclusive leadership and management to promote the highest standards of clinical care, patient safety and experience.
* Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control and monitor cleaning of the environment.
* Workforce management, finance and budgeting.
* Ensure high-quality education and development of nursing staff within the neonatal units.
* Act as a resource, providing advice on professional nursing issues related to clinical interventions, policies, protocols, service delivery and service development.
* Ensure appropriate resources are in place to support delivery of high-quality services within areas of responsibility.

Person Specification
Essential
* Commitment to the Trust values and behaviours (We are here for you).
Training & Qualifications
* First degree or equivalent in a health-related subject
* Management qualification or relevant experience
* ENB 998 or equivalent teaching course
* Current Level 1 NMC registration
* Neonatal qualification in speciality
* Newborn life support provider
Experience
* Experience of leading and delivering programmes of change within an acute NHS setting
* Post-registration management and leadership experience
* Knowledge of budgets/financial control
* Leadership experience in a Level 3 neonatal unit
Communication/Relationship Skills
* Excellent written and oral communication
* Ability to build successful teams and to influence and motivate staff
* Strong leadership qualities
Analytical/Judgement Skills
* Influencing and negotiation; service development and improvement
* Budget interpretation and resource management
