The Education and Training Department within University Hospitals Dorsetis continuing to developandwe are looking for two experienced educator to join ourinnovative and dynamicsimulationteam as aSimulation Practitioner.
1x 7 month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment opportunity
As a SimulationPractitioneryouwill work as part of an established and experiencedsimulation team including simulation practitioners,techniciansand fellows.
Theobjectiveof this role is to plan, deliver, and support others to deliver, high quality simulation-based education (SBE) and transformative simulation (TfS). SBE has a focus on the learning and development ofindividuals,and this is commonly driven by curriculum requirements such as foundation doctors or student nurseprograms.TfSis using simulation to createachangeorimprovement,and this will mostly be around the transformation work within theTrust.
Main duties of the job
The Education and Training Department is a large team providing clinical and non-clinical education across all three sites of University Hospitals Dorset. The role will bepredominately basedat the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site however, cross-site working will be expected. Facilities includestate of the artSimulation Suites, with high-fidelity patient simulation mannikins and computer technology, and a Simulation Ward incorporating audio visual technology enabling live streaming to other locations.
We alsooperatelecture theatres, large clinical skills training rooms, seminarroomsand a dynamic conference room. All our facilities are linked through Microsoft Teams and deliver blended learning opportunities to our users. Training is enhanced using a variety of mannikins, anatomical task trainers and mixed reality headsets.
