The postholder provides academic oversight and strategic leadership for the University’s Transnational Education Partnership with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China: Glasgow College UESTC. This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment of up to four years, based across Glasgow, Chengdu, and Hainan, with a strong international and cross-cultural dimension. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide senior academic leadership across campuses in Glasgow, Chengdu, and Hainan – Ensure high-quality education delivery within the transnational education partnership – Lead and support international partnership governance arrangements – Engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders – Act as the most senior representative of the University of Glasgow in China REQUIREMENTS – Extensive experience in international higher education – Demonstrated experience in cross-cultural leadership – Proven background in strategic academic management WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role is central to the success and sustainability of a major transnational education partnership, ensuring that academic standards and institutional values are upheld across international locations.
