Job Description
Mental Health Youth Worker
Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well‑being of children and young people?
Do you have experience supporting individuals that can find it difficult to build social and emotional relationships?
In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences. We are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1 : 1 basis across schools in the Bath area. These opportunities come with an option of progressing onto contract at the school.
As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but also be comfortable running activities with the pupil/s outside the classroom. Alongside the class teacher, you will provide support to ensure the right support is in place for the students.
These positions are full‑time and will receive full support and guidance. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training while in the role, including Prevent, Team Teach and safeguarding training.
This would be a great opportunity for someone who has experience supporting pupils in school or an alternative setting, but we will also consider candidates without this experience. This is your opportunity to secure your dream role in December 2025 / January 2026.
