You’ll be joining our Network Team within Infrastructure Services, a small but highly skilled group of four engineers who play a critical role in keeping Bauer’s networks running smoothly and evolving for the future.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the performance, resilience, and future evolution of our network infrastructure. You’ll take ownership of complex technical challenges, lead impactful projects, and act as an escalation point for critical issues.

Your role
You’ll lead on network engineering initiatives while supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and high-performing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Leading delivery of network projects (. switch refreshes, firewall deployments, cloud connectivity)
2. Monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving complex network issues
3. Acting as an escalation point for network-related incidents and queries
4. Driving performance optimisation and identifying system improvements
5. Providing technical leadership, including peer reviews and mentoring
6. Supporting change and continuous improvement across network operations
7. Producing clear documentation for internal teams and stakeholders
8. Collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and service providers
The Skills you will bring:
Essential:
9. Strong experience as a Network Engineer in a complex, multi-site environment
10. Deep expertise in Cisco technologies (routers, switches, firewalls)
11. Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (configuration and deployment)
12. Advanced routing knowledge (EIGRP preferred, plus OSPF/BGP)
13. Experience working in high-availability, resilient environments
14. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
15. Experience leading projects and driving technical delivery
16. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
17. Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
18. Exposure to wireless (. Meraki), WAN technologies, and VPN solutions
19. Familiarity with monitoring tools (. SolarWinds, Zabbix)
20. Experience in media or similar fast-paced industries
