Job Description: Healthcare Assistant (Dermatology) St Michael's Street Shrewsbury SY1 2HE Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week Paying £28,006 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications Role Overview: As a Healthcare Assistant you will provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to the dermatology team, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate patient care in a private clinical setting. What you'll do: Support patients before, during, and after dermatological consultations and procedures Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and sterile instrument Assist the Dermatologist / Nurse with minor surgical procedures, biopsies, laser treatments and wound care Apply dressings and provide post-procedure care as directed Take and manage clinical photographs where required by Dermatologists Accurately update and maintain electronic medical records within their scope of practice Manage consent forms and clinical documentation as required Assist with appointment scheduling and patient flow Handle clinical correspondence and basic reporting using Microsoft Office Monitor and replenish clinical stock and supplies Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations What you’ll bring: Previous experience working as a Healthcare Auxiliary in a healthcare setting Familiarity with basic medical terminology Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and electronic record systems Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care Care Certificate (completed) Basic Life Support (or willingness to undertake training) Infection prevention and control training Experience in dermatology, outpatient, or private clinical settings (Desirable) Experience assisting with minor surgical or aesthetic procedures (Desirable) Why Bupa?
