Average account penetration is low, refresh cycles areing, and recurring revenue from subscriptions provides a strong foundation.Your job: proper account management structure, strategic stakeholder engagement, and maximising the £2m+ opportunity sitting in your portfolio.

THE ROLEAccount management role requiring hunter mentality. You'll own 20 retail accounts (£40k-£200k ARR each) where relationships exist, but engagement has been inconsistent. Success means running quarterly business reviews, mappingplex stakeholder environments (Loss Prevention, IT, Security, Health & Safety), identifying expansion opportunities, and hitting £1m revenue target from your portfolio.This isn't passive farming. Some accounts need re-engagement. Some are primed for expansion. All need structured account management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as single point of contact for portfolio of 20 retail accounts
2. Develop and execute strategic account plans with clear stakeholder mapping
3. Run quarterly business reviews independently with senior stakeholders
4. Drive expansion: cross-site rollouts, new departments, hardware refresh cycles
5. Secure contract renewals and long-term business continuity
6. Partner with Technical Account Managers and Support for customer success
7. Maintain accurate CRM forecasting and provide market intelligence
8. Customer site visits 2-3 times per month across the UK.

WHO YOU AREEssential:
9. Minimum 5 years' B2B account management experience
10. Strong fundamentals: account mapping, QBRs, strategic planning
11. Multi-stakeholder management across technical and operational functions
12. Energy and presence for senior-level conversations
13. Proven track record of results and career progression
14. Pure sales/account management background
15. UK travel (2–3 visits/month) + office 1–2 days/week
Desirable:
16. Retail sector experience or understanding
17. SaaS or subscription revenue model background
18. Security or safety solutions experience
19. CRM proficiency (Salesforce)
20. Structured sales methodology exposure (MEDDPICC, etc.)

THE PACKAGE
21. £60k - £70k base salary
22. £20k OTE (uncapped beyond target)
