An exciting opportunity has arisen for two whole time equivalent Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists to join our friendly and supportive Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service on a 6-month fixed-term basis.
This post offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical skills working with children and young people across a range of settings, including clinics, schools, and early years environments. You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that makes a real difference to children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose, and manage children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
* Plan, deliver and delegate individualised, evidence-based intervention programmes.
* Work collaboratively with parents, carers, education staff, and other professionals to support each child’s communication development.
* Contribute to team meetings, case discussions, and service improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to data collection and audit as required.
* Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and continuing professional development opportunities.
About you
* Qualified and registered (or pending registration) with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full communication potential.
* A reflective and proactive learner, keen to develop within a supportive team.
* Able to build positive relationships with families and colleagues across education and health settings.
* Flexible, organised, and confident in managing a varied caseload.
