Overview

3 years FTC starting asap

The Oxford Future of Finance and Technology Initiative is launching a major cutting-edge research programme on “Enabling consumers to make healthy financial choices”, focusing on how technological and organisational solutions can improve financial literacy and decision-making.

This post, under the direction of Professor Pinar Ozcan, gives the successful candidate the opportunity to join at the start of the project. It will examine how organisations can align profitability with consumer well-being. Many firms perceive a trade-off between their financial goals and helping customers make healthier financial decisions. This project will conduct global field research with Fin-Techs and other financial institutions to investigate how different departments within organisations perceive and manage this tension, identify best practices in embedding consumer well-being into corporate culture and governance, and explore the role of regulation and industry standards in financial innovation. All in the expectation of highlighting exemplary practices to set new benchmarks for responsible financial innovation and consumer education.

The post requires ≤2 days on site per week in either Park End Street, Oxford (where the post is based) or London (to collect data at the funding company). The remaining 3 days can be home based.

Please check out the job description to gain a more detailed understanding of this post.
