Job Description
The University of South Wales seeks a Solicitor (Employment and Litigation) to join the University Secretary’s Office as part of the legal services unit.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert employment law advice to People and Organisational Development covering approximately 2,000 staff, including redundancy, restructuring, tribunals, terminations and TUPE agreements.
* Manage the instruction of external lawyers as needed.
* Develop strong relationships with university stakeholders and work directly with the General Counsel.
* Provide legal advice and support on student matters where issues raise legal, procedural, equality or regulatory questions.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual with professional qualities and expert knowledge in employment law.
Employment Details
Full‑time fixed‑term post based primarily at USW’s Pontypridd campus.
Salary: £48,822 – £61,760 (inclusive of market supplement).
Benefits: 35 days annual leave, generous pension and flexible working.
