Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for children in our nursery. This role requires a passion for early childhood development and the ability to engage with children effectively, fostering their growth and learning through play-based activities.
Duties
* Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development in young children.
* Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming nursery environment.
* Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating findings with parents.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the nursery space, ensuring all equipment is safe and age-appropriate.
* Collaborate with other staff members to develop a cohesive approach to child care and education.
* Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
* Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in planning activities and maintaining records.
