The role
As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of the Babcock Clyde Improvement Programme, leading high-impact projects that drive operational excellence and innovation across our defence and engineering operations. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of naval support and infrastructure, while growing your career in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
1. Leading projects to deliver performance across a portfolio of improvement initiatives.
2. Establishing and maintaining robust project governance frameworks.
3. Managing customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and success.
4. Working within an integrated Programme Management Office (PMO) to define, plan, monitor and control delivery.
5. Planning, monitoring, reporting and delivering projects to meet strategic objectives.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Project Manager
6. Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment.
7. Proven track record across the full project lifecycle, from bid phase to close out.
8. Experience managing complex projects involving diverse products and services.
9. Strong cross-functional awareness of lifecycle requirements for supporting functions.
Qualifications for the Project Manager
10. Relevant professional qualifications in project management or engineering.
11. Preferred: APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications
