Legal Secretary & PA to Partner
Location: Warrington
Hours: .5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7.5 hours per day plus a -minute lunch)
About the Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary and PA to join a busy legal department, providing dedicated support to a Partner within a fast-paced and professional environment.
This role is ideal for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong typing and administrative skills, who is confident managing a varied workload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and manage correspondence, legal documents and court papers
2. Audio and copy typing of legal documentation to a high standard, with approximately % of working time dedicated to typing
3. Proactively liaise with clients, including taking messages, passing on information and dealing with straightforward queries
4. Maintain accurate and organised filing systems
5. Prepare indexes and bundles, including electronic bundles (training provided)
6. Carry out administrative duties including photocopying, scanning and collating documentation
7. Arrange appointments, meetings and diary management tasks
8. Provide general administrative and PA support as required
9. Undertake any additional duties necessary to support the department
Person Specification:
10. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Personal Injury
11. Knowledge and experience of relevant legal software and case management systems, ideally Proclaim
12. Understanding of personal injury processes and procedures
13. Excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar skills
14. Strong typing skills, with the ability to produce accurate legal documents efficiently
15. Proven experience preparing legal documentation and correspondence to a high standard
16. High level of confidentiality and professionalism
17. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
18. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
19. Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively within a busy environment
20. Strong organisational and time management skills
21. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
22. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
