Role Summary:
As a Procurement Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, driving strategic procurement initiatives that deliver both commercial and social value within the Public Sector. This role focuses on building strong partnerships across the organisation and with external clients including Housing associations; Local Authorities; Health; and Education sectors, ensuring procurement strategies align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. You will lead on complex projects, provide expert guidance, and influence decision-making to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with internal teams and clients to understand business needs and develop tailored procurement strategies.
* Lead end-to-end procurement projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for procurement matters.
* Deliver cost savings and efficiency improvements through innovative sourcing and negotiation.
* Provide governance and oversight on procurement processes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Monitor performance against KPIs and report progress to senior leadership.
* Support change management initiatives and promote continuous improvement across procurement activities.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in procurement with a strong understanding of strategic sourcing and category management.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver measurable value.
* Knowledge of PA2023 Procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
* CIPS qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive change.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
