Business Development Manager at a leading London-based commercial law firm, supporting strategic growth and client engagement for the firm’s disputes practice.
This is an exciting time to join a firm that is under new leadership and has ambitious growth plans. This 12-month fixed term contract offers the opportunity to lead on new strategic BD plans for the partners, in line with a new firm-wide strategy. There are also some projects to get involved with outside of the day-to-day BD and marketing activities for the disputes team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic and advisory support to develop robust annual BD plans
* Identify opportunities for profitable growth via cross-selling and new business initiatives
* Focus on building the firm’s profile and brand in key markets in the development of targeted and well executed thought leadership ideas campaigns, PR, award/directory submissions and events, measuring ROI.
* Ad-hoc pitching and provision of high-quality credentials, presentations and promotional collateral as part of the sales process.
* Provide oversight and direction to the BD Executive using coaching, mentoring and other development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in legal marketing and business development; knowledge of disputes practices would be advantageous.You should be confident and have the gravitas to influence partners when bring new ideas and initiatives to the table.In addition, you will be proactive in spotting opportunities and joining the dots with clients to facilitate growth of client relationships. You should enjoy developing team members and will line manage one person.
